Deadpan. Surreal.
Sharp as a Tack.

Steve Vertigo is a stand-up comedian and storytelling performer from Stockport, based in London. His laconic, deadpan delivery and surreal sensibility draw comparisons to Steven Wright and The Mighty Boosh — but the voice is entirely his own.

Steve brings depth and physicality to his comedy. His writing is sharp, his timing immaculate, his material a collision of the absurd and the oddly moving.

His hour-long show Murmuration has been performed to acclaim across Leicester, Brighton, Buxton, Manchester and Camden Fringes before its Edinburgh debut in 2025. The script reached the final round of the BBC Writersroom. He is a regular on the London comedy circuit and available for clubs, festivals and theatres nationwide.

Current Work

Solo Show — 60 Minutes — Touring
Fear
Fear used to be simple. A public information film. A government leaflet. Job done. The only thing to fear was fear itself - then someone upgraded the whole system. We're taught who and what to fear. But as the old saying goes - who scares the fearers? A look at fear as a business and a system, and the fight against it.

Murmuration
"A Starling is Born"
A man, isolated by technology, finds an unexpected escape in the beauty of nature — and 38,000 starlings. A surreal comedy adventure through AI, quantum theory, and the desperate human need for connection. Blending stand-up, storytelling, animation and character, this is comedy at its most original.
